In the year 2006, Beijing Institute of Technology made its debut in the China League Two (Zhongyi) and triumphed, securing the title and advancing to the China League One (Zhongya). From 2007 to 2015, the team maintained a consistent presence in the Zhongya, achieving their best ever ranking of seventh in the 2008 season. Following the conclusion of the 2015 campaign, BIT was relegated back to the Zhongyi. In the 2020 season, the team finished fourth, securing a spot to compete in the Zhongya through a promotion. However, their performance in the subsequent two Zhongya seasons was subpar, leading to another relegation to the Zhongyi at the end of the 2022 season. In the 2023 season, BIT led the North Division in the preliminary rounds before ultimately finishing sixth in the promotion group, marking their final standout performance. During the 2024 and 2025 seasons, BIT engaged in a battle to avoid relegation, which ultimately culminated in their demotion to the Zhongyi at the conclusion of the 2026 season.
