Gatlin强调， the deal possesses numerous valid aspects from a relational standpoint, notably the reunion of Irving and Durant, as well as their shared past collaborations with coach Udoka while both were part of the Nets.
Moreover, the Rockets hold the rights to the Mavericks' 2029 first-round pick, hence there is a theoretical possibility of constructing a trade structure centered around this draft selection.
Gatlin, however, opines that the manner in which the Rockets previously handled the Fenney-Smith agreement leads him to believe that the team was not particularly committed from the outset to concluding such a significant transaction during the current season.
