In 2018, Arsenal expanded the stadium by adding 780 new seats; however, the demand for executive suites and VIP boxes at酋长球场continues to exceed availability, leading to lengthy waiting lists. The prospect of increasing seating capacity by excavating further below the stadium presents a series of intricate engineering challenges, including complex pipeline installation. Moreover, manager Mikel Arteta is reluctant to compromise the team's home advantage by relocating to temporary venues like Wembley, as such a move could potentially disrupt the squad's momentum and form.
Over the past five seasons, Arsenal's matchday revenue has surged, doubling to an impressive 154 million pounds, a development largely attributed to the team's return to the UEFA Champions League. The club has consistently strived to boost its income through expanded corporate offerings, and this summer introduced a novel "Player's Tunnel Suite" package. The price for a single Premier League match ticket has soared to nearly 6,500 pounds, mimicking the tactics employed by Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
The Arsenal Fanshare Trust has conveyed that the club has assured them that there will be no reduction in seats on the general terraces to accommodate additional executive boxes. The overall capacity of酋长球场 will remain unchanged, with a focus on enhancing the behind-the-scenes facilities, which is anticipated to result in the introduction of additional premium hospitality offerings. The trust has reaffirmed the club's pledge that there are no plans to relocate or decrease the number of seats on any standard terraces. Nonetheless, all supporters are advised to remain vigilant and to consistently underscore the significance of their role as guardians of the club.
